Investing in Our People: Introducing Aquila’s New Training & Development Function
At Aquila, growth isn’t just about expanding our network or strengthening our product offering — it’s about developing the people who make it all happen.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the launch of a brand-new Training & Development function within the business — a key step forward in how we support our teams, improve performance, and continue raising standards across the network.
A Strategic Step Forward
As Aquila continues to grow, the need for consistent, high-quality training and development has never been more important.
This new function has been created to deliver exactly that — with a clear focus on:
Supporting our depot network day-to-day with practical, hands-on guidance
Identifying development opportunities to help individuals and teams progress
Driving sales performance through targeted learning and coaching
Enhancing customer service and dealer standards across the business
Delivering workshops and training sessions that translate directly into on-the-job performance
This isn’t about theory. It’s about equipping our teams with the tools, confidence, and clarity to perform at a higher level — consistently.
Meet Our New Training & Development Manager
We’re delighted to announce that George Haywood will step into the role of Training & Development Manager from 1st April 2026.
This is a well-earned progression, and one that reflects both George’s impact within the business and his potential to drive this next phase forward.
In his new role, George will work closely with teams across all depots — bringing energy, structure, and practical support to help individuals and teams improve performance where it matters most.
What This Means for Aquila
This move signals a clear intent:
We are investing in our people to improve how we operate, how we sell, and how we serve our customers.
Better-trained teams lead to:
Stronger customer experiences
More consistent standards across depots
Improved sales performance
A more aligned and capable business overall
